Specialty moving
For the pieces you cannot replace
Pianos, antiques, fine art, gun safes and heirlooms. The heavy, awkward and high-value items get extra hands, extra padding and a plan.
Free Estimates Specialty Moving
Most of what we move is replaceable. A piano, a grandfather clock, a piece of art that has been in the family for generations, those are not. Specialty moving is about giving the irreplaceable items the extra time, hands and protection they need, instead of treating them like another box.
The right plan for the right piece
Heavy and awkward is not the same as impossible, but it does take a plan. Before we lift a piano or a gun safe, we look at the piece, measure the doorways and map the path out of the home. We bring enough crew so the lift is controlled and bring the dollies, straps and padding that keep both the item and your home safe.
For fragile high-value pieces like art, mirrors and antiques, protection is custom. That can mean heavy blankets, shrink wrap, corner guards or a crate built around the piece. We do not unwrap anything until it is safely in place.
Add it to your move or book it on its own
Some customers need a single piano moved across town. Others have a houseful of furniture with a few precious pieces mixed in. Either way works. Point out the specialty items when we give you an estimate and we will make sure the right hands and the right materials are on the truck.

The process
How specialty moves work
- 01
Assess the piece
We look at the item, the path out and the destination to plan the safest route.
- 02
Custom protection
We pad, shrink wrap and crate as needed so the piece is fully protected.
- 03
Right tools, right hands
Dollies, straps and enough crew make sure the lift is controlled, not risky.
- 04
Placed with care
The piece is set exactly where it belongs and unwrapped only when it is safe.
Some things are not about weight. They are about value, history and trust.

Good questions
Specialty Moving questions
- Do you move pianos?
- Yes. Upright and grand pianos are heavy, awkward and easy to damage without the right approach. We bring the crew, padding and equipment to move them safely, including through tight doorways and down stairs.
- How do you protect antiques and fine art?
- High-value and fragile pieces get custom protection. Depending on the item that can mean heavy padding, shrink wrap, corner protection or a built up crate. We plan the route out of the home before we ever pick the piece up.
- Can specialty items be added to a regular move?
- Of course. Many of our home moves include a piano, a gun safe or a treasured antique. Just point those pieces out when we do your estimate so we bring the right people and materials.
